Biography of Pedro López Salas

In his role as composer it deserves an special mention the composition of the Hymn of the Bachiller Sabuco Historical Institute of his city, for which he has received numerous awards.

He has received masterclasses from international masters such as Dimitri Baskirov, Dimitri Alexeev, Norma Fisher, Pascal Nemirovski, Piotr Paleczny, Alexander Kobrin, Pavel Nerssesian,, Pavel Gililov, Jacques Rouvier, Ludmil Angelov, Arkady Zenziper, Yuri Didenko, Andreas Frölich, Ilja Scheps, Philippe Raskin, Patrín GarcíaBarredo, Reid Smith , Tatjana Blome, Pilar Valero, Leonel Morales.

He has done numerous courses of piano interpretation, among which we can highlight the one held at the prestigious “Universität Mozarteum” in Salzburg (admitted by professor D. Alexeev), the international piano festival “Clavicologne” in Aachen (Germany), at the Malta International Music Festival, at the festival piano international “Leonel Morales” of Granada, at the International Music Festival of Brescia (Italy) or the Valencia International Performance Academy (Valencia). He has done the International Course for Orchestra Conducting with Maestro Navarro Lara.

He has offered recitals in Spain (Madrid, Zaragoza, León, Ponferrada, Sevilla, Granada, Huesca, Teruel, Segovia, Albacete, Valencia, etc.), Austria (Salzburg), Belgium (Brussels), Germany (Aachen), Italy (Brescia , MIlán), in auditoriums such as the “Manuel de Falla” of Granada, “Circus Theater” of Albacete, Aachen Theater, “Wiener Saal” of Salzburg, etc. He performed as a soloist with the Valencia Orchestra (OV) at the “Palau de la Música” in Valencia, with the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra (ROSS) at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra (OSCYL) in the auditorium Miguel Delibes de Valladolid, with the orchestra “Virtuosos de Madrid” in the auditorium Joaquín Rodrigo de Las Rozas, with the orchestra of the CSKG in the CC Nicolás Salmerón, and soon in the Teatro Canónigos de la Granja de San Ildefonso, Segovia . Soon, he will act as a soloist with the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra (OST) at the ADDA in Alicante and at the Torrevieja International Auditorium.

Pedro López Salas is a spanish pianist, born in Albacete (Spain) in 1997. He is studying  4th year of Higher Education in the “Katarina Gurska Higher Center” of Madrid, and has recently been accepted by the prestigious Royal College of Music of London to study there with full scolarship the Master of Performance for next year, with legendary professor Norma Fisher. He was a student of Ludmil Angelov, Antonio Soria, Leonel Morales, and nowadays of  Mariana Gurkova. In 2015, he finished his studies in Professional Education at the “Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco” CPM in Albacete, with honors in piano, an Extraordinary National Education Award and an exemplarity and academic merit award from the Rotary Club.

Winner of a multitude of awards in national and international competitions, among which the Third Prize in the International Piano Competition of Valladolid “Frechilla-Zuloaga”,  the Special Virtuoso Award at the Vienna International Music Compeition, the First Prizes in the International Piano Contests stand out: “Composers of Spain”, “CIPCE”; International Piano Competition “Ciudad de Leganés”; Malta International Competition; International Piano Competition “César Franck” from Brussels; International Piano Competition of Granada “María Herrero”; International Competition “Villa de Xábia”, International Panticosa Competition “FIP”; or the first prizes obtained in the national competitions: “City of Albacete”, “Ciutat de Carlet”; “City of Linares, Marisa Montiel” or “Jacinto Guerrero” of Toledo, among others.
